Hi everyone! Recital was just fantastic and I want to thank everyone again for their hard work making it all happen!
Just as a reminder, it’s time to register for Summer Session! Summer Session runs June 6-July 23, closed the week of July 4. Even if your dancer performed in recital, you’ll need to register for summer separately. Follow the link for the calendar on our Schedule tab above!
Information for Dance Camp has been updated on the Camp tab, so check that out for dancers ages 3-12! Camp is August 1-4. If you’d like to register, just email the studio and we will get you set up.
Company Auditions are coming up soon, too!!! Any dancer age 8 and up interested in performing at competitions with us in the coming year is welcome to audition. Auditions will be held June 11 and 25 at 1pm. These are both Saturdays and dancers only need to attend one of the two dates. If you can’t make it to either date, please contact me and we can set up a private audition time. Returning company members must reaudition.
I hope everyone is already enjoying their summer!
Gonna play it extra safe and cancel classes tomorrow morning, Saturday February 13.
Everyone stay warm and have a happy Valentine’s Day!
Classes are cancelled tonight (Tuesday, Feb 9) at RDS.
I know we didn’t get a ton of snow, but the forecast is showing on and off snow showers for the rest of the day and the temperature is not supposed to get above freezing until Wednesday. While they’re not predicting much accumulation, they’re saying this could make for some slick spots on roads and I don’t want anyone feeling obligated to come to class and getting in an accident. Sorry for any inconvenience, but the safety of our dancers, their families, and our instructors comes first!
We’re going to err on the side of caution and cancel class tonight. We’ve got dancers coming in from Knox, Blount, and Sevier Counties and I don’t want anyone driving around after dark on hilly secondary roads that may not be up to par yet. Enjoy an evening off!
Dancers are welcome to make up tonight’s classes. Let me know if you’re not sure which class would be a good fit for your dancer to make up.
No class tonight, Wednesday January 20. Everyone stay warm and safe and enjoy the snow!
Happy New Year everyone! I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone and getting back to dancing! Classes resume Monday of next week, January 11.
Just as a friendly reminder, January tuition is full price and if you did not pay your 50% costume deposit before the break, that needs to be paid ASAP. I’ll be measuring everyone and ordering costumes SOON! I want to get them done earlier this year so that we can also get pictures done earlier.
More exciting news! Ms. Claire is going to offer a Beginners Highland Dancing class on Monday nights from 6:45-7:45 for dancers ages 8 and up! Registration is open now online, so you are welcome to go ahead and register now if you’re interested. We need at least 3 dancers to make the class and ideally we’d have a few more dancers enrolled to make it more fun. This class will begin when the others resume on January 11, so sign up soon! To register online, just click the Schedule tab above and follow the link on that page to our current schedule!
Just a reminder, no classes tonight Sept 7. Have a safe and happy Labor Day!
This time next week we’ll be smack dab in the middle of DANCE CAMP! It’s NOT TOO LATE to register for camp! We would love to have you! If you could, just send me an email (or FB message) if you’re planning to attend so I can make sure we have enough craft supplies for everyone. 😉
If you need more info, just check out the 2015 Dance Camp tab above!
