January Newsletter

Hey everyone!  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break!

Dance classes resume this Monday, Jan 14.  I can’t wait to get back in the studio.  This time of year is always busy and exciting as we start gearing up for our Spring Concert in May.  Right now I have the concert penciled in for May 18.  I hope to have it at Heritage High School again and I’m not sure what their schedule is.  I’ll be getting in touch with them very soon and I’ll let you know the moment that things are finalized.  Dancers will begin working on concert dances in February and will have completed dances by the end of March.

January Tuition
January tuition is only half and is due the day your dancer returns to class.  After the 24th, there will be a $10 fee for all late payments.

Costumes and Recital Fees
This year’s recital fee will be $25 per participating dancer and will go to cover the costs of renting a theater and producing the show.  Recital fees mean that we will not have to charge for tickets to come see the show!  However, the fee does not include the price of the costumes.  Costumes will be $60 for each class this year as we are going to order from costume companies rather than trying to piece costumes together locally.  (The Thursday 5-7yr Ballet/Jazz class will only purchase one costume, but will perform two dances.)

I know fees and costume prices can add up so I’m splitting the cost into two different payments.  The $25 recital fee and at least half of your costume fees are due Jan 31.  The remainder must be paid on or before February 28.  You are welcome to pay the full balance on January 31 if you like.

Next year I hope to have the first payment due before Christmas so that we can spread them out a little more.

Bring a Friend Week
It’s still not too late to register for class and still participate in the Spring Concert!  With that in mind, we’re going to have another Bring a Friend Week on February 4-9.  The one we had in the Fall was really fun and I think the dancers had a good time showing their friends what they do when they go to dance class.  Dancers are welcome to bring a friend (or two!) that week.  Neighbors, cousins, Girl Scout troop buddies, and friends from school are all welcome!

Thanks so much for an incredibly successful Fall Semester and I’m so looking forward to having your dancers back in class next week!  See you soon!
Ms. Valerie
